Jackson was born
and raised in Tallahassee , Florida and is a sixth generation
Floridian. He received his Bachelor of Science in
International Affairs from the Florida State University
. While attending F.S.U., he was an officer with Phi
Delta Theta Fraternity and interned at the United States
Embassy in London with the Foreign Commercial Service and
later completed a Master's in History. He obtained his Juris
Doctorate from the FSU College of Law in 2001. As a law
student he interned in the Florida House of Representatives
and completed a certified legal externship with the felony
division at the State Attorney's Office in Tallahassee .
He is a former Assistant State Attorney, served as a Committee
Attorney with Florida House, and worked as an associate
at a civil defense firm. He also handled complex civil and
construction litigation as an Assistant General Counsel
with the Florida Department of Transportation for almost
four years.
Jackson is admitted
to practice before all courts in Florida , the District
of Columbia , and Texas as well as the United States Courts
for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts. He is also
admitted in the 11 th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United
States Supreme Court.
